Tourism in Europe suffered significantly when COVID-19 spread from China to Northern Italy in February 2020. Countries went on a lockdown, flights have been canceled, and passengers have been concerned about Europe’s ability to deal with a pandemic, and with reason. But thank heavens that there are already vaccines for the Coronavirus.

There is, however, some good news. Restrictions are being lifted in some of the hardest-hit countries, airlines are gradually reinstating international flight routes, and experts predict that COVID-19 vaccination rates in the EU will reach goal levels by July. Thus, if you’re planning to visit Europe this summer, these are the top safest countries we can recommend.

1. Georgia

Georgia was named the safest destination last summer, has managed to remain among the destinations least affected by Covid-19.

Tbilisi, Georgia’s capital, is ranked first among Europe’s most fashionable summer destinations for culture, nature, history, gastronomic discoveries, or a city break shopping.

Tbilisi is both modern and traditional, cosmopolitan, open-minded, one-of-a-kind, multi-ethnic, and genuine. Georgia welcomes all immunized travelers from all countries without quarantine or extra testing.

2. Greece

Greece was one of the first countries to agree to the issuance of vaccination certificates.

The country has previously agreed to accept Israeli tourists with a vaccine passport, and it has declared that it will accept visitors beginning May 1 if they have received two doses of any vaccine certified by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

Greece is an excellent choice for a safe vacation in Europe. Its capital, Athens, is a place that blends safety and relaxation with monuments, history shops, cafes, restaurants, and pristine beaches.

3. England

Whether you’re visiting England for the first time or have lived here your entire life and are seeking new places to explore, England travel is all about variety.

It’s about discovering a combination of recognizable sights and hidden gems, crossing off big sites one day and stumbling on an eccentric local museum the next. From London, Birmingham, Oxford, Manchester, and other picturesque cities, you will never run out of beautiful places to explore.

It’s about diving into a plethora of activities, whether you’re a die-hard hobbyist, an adrenaline junkie, or simply want to try something new – from mountain biking and abseiling to pony trekking and hiking, bird watching, and seal spotting, and more.

If you’re tired of trolling and exploring, you can also enjoy a peaceful day at a quirky bed-and-breakfast inn or picturesque hotel, or just read a novel and feel the old-world vibe of the country.

Of course, the diversity of England is reflected in its landscape as well.

4. Sweden

Sweden, particularly devoted to the fight against Covid-19, was one of the first countries to advocate for a Vaccine Passport for travel and everyday life.

Stockholm is Sweden’s must-see destination. This cosmopolitan, vibrant, inventive, and glittering city is one of Europe’s most beautiful capitals. Stockholm is regarded as one of the cities with the highest quality of life and one of the European capitals with the happiest residents.

Stockholm is ideal for a city vacation, a shopping binge, or a culinary stay. The city will also appeal to art aficionados with its cultural events and art installations located around the city.

5. Denmark

Denmark decided in February 2021 to establish a vaccine passport that would allow its residents who have been immunized against Covid-19 to resume regular life safely. In addition, the country is prepared to accept vaccine passports issued at the international and European levels.

If you have been vaccinated in your place of origin and have confirmation of vaccination, you can go to cafes, restaurants, and concerts without having to undergo any further testing.

Go green in Copenhagen by taking a bike ride. The Little Mermaid in Copenhagen is a must-see for romantics, while the Carlsberg Brewery is a must-see for beer enthusiasts. For families, it’s recommended to visit Tivoli Park, which is regarded as one of Europe’s top amusement parks.
